1. Nature of Services

ThriveWell Nursing provides independent nursing consulting, education, and wellness services delivered by a Registered Nurse licensed in the Province of Alberta.

Services are educational and consultative in nature and may include:

  • Health education and coaching

  • Chronic disease self-management support

  • Care planning and goal setting

  • Health system navigation and advocacy support

  • Wellness and healthy aging education

ThriveWell Nursing does not provide medical diagnosis, prescribe medications, order or interpret diagnostic tests, or provide medical treatment. Services are intended to complement — not replace — care provided by physicians, nurse practitioners, or other regulated healthcare professionals.

2. Not a Substitute for Medical Care

Information provided through this website, consultations, courses, or educational materials is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Clients are advised to:

  • Continue care with their primary healthcare provider

  • Seek immediate medical attention for urgent or emergent concerns

  • Discuss any medical decisions with their physician or nurse practitioner

3. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete information

  • Making their own health decisions

  • Following up with appropriate healthcare providers when advised

Participation in services is voluntary, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

4. Appointments, Fees & Payment

​

  • Fees for services are clearly communicated prior to booking

  • Payment is required according to the terms outlined at the time of booking

  • Missed or late-cancelled appointments may be subject to fees, as outlined in booking policies

  • ThriveWell Nursing reserves the right to modify service offerings or pricing with notice

5. Confidentiality & Privacy

 

ThriveWell Nursing is committed to protecting client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with:

  • Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)

  • Professional standards of the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

Personal information is collected only for purposes related to providing services and is safeguarded using appropriate administrative, technical, and physical security measures.

6. Use of Practice Better Platform

​

ThriveWell Nursing uses Practice Better, a secure, third-party practice management platform, for:

  • Client intake forms

  • Secure messaging

  • Appointment scheduling

  • Charting and record-keeping

Practice Better employs security measures such as encryption and access controls to protect personal information. Clients may be required to create a secure account to access services.

By engaging services, you acknowledge and consent to:

  • The collection, use, and storage of your personal information through Practice Better

  • Practice Better’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

ThriveWell Nursing is not responsible for the independent policies or practices of third-party platforms but takes reasonable steps to ensure their use aligns with privacy obligations.

7. Website Content & Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and educational materials, is the property of ThriveWell Nursing unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • ThriveWell Nursing is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services

ThriveWell Nursing reserves the right to discontinue services if:

  • Client conduct is unsafe, abusive, or inappropriate
